Join us in North Philly to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Ensemble Novo. Ensemble Novo explores the uplifting, endlessly rhythmic music of Brazil through the lens of improvisation. On this program, the 5-piece group celebrates classic samba, bossa nova and Musica Popular Brazileira in a spirit of spontaneous adventure.
About Ensemble Novo:
Ensemble Novo celebrates the windswept melodies and perpetual-motion rhythms of Brazilian music. The five-piece band has been performing in the Philadelphia region for a decade, and has recorded a series of mini-albums that have been played on WXPN-FM and WRTI-FM as well as stations in Rio de Janeiro and across the globe.
