About the Ben Diagram Duo: The Ben Diagram Duo blends the sounds and performance styles of two distinct instruments and musical talents: Vasko on tuba and Goldman on steel drum. The duo weaves together Jazz, calypso, and western art music to create their musical narrative.
About the Bens:
Ben Vasko serves on the faculties of the University of Central Florida and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. He is the founder and director of the Orlando Youth Tuba Ensemble, a high school-aged chamber group dedicated to elevating the performance level of young tuba and euphonium players. Vasko has had the honor of performing with the Boston Symphony, the Boston Pops, the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, the Jacksonville Symphony, the National Orchestra of Spain, and the Orlando Philharmonic. He tours with the Brookwood Trio and the Ben Diagram Duo, bringing unique instrumentations to stages and classrooms around the United States.
