Chris Oatts Quintet (Nostalgia Fishtown)

Chris Oatts is a Philadelphia-based saxophonist, composer, and educator known for his lush sound, and deep connection with jazz tradition. He has toured and recorded globally, working with artists like Seal, the Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia, Terell Stafford, Wycliffe Gordon, Harry Connick Jr. and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. A passionate bandleader, Chris leads several ensembles, including his own Quintet, the Pretty Big Band, Chris Oatts and the Elling-tones and the LOVE Jazz Orchestra, showcasing his innovative compositions, arrangements and improvisations. Committed to both performance and education, he teaches at Temple University and the Shipley School helping to shape the next generation of jazz musicians.
