The R2 Collective (Nostalgia Fishtown)

Originally from New York/North Jersey, Rob Rutigliano has used the saxophone amongst other tools to make Philadelphia his home, starting at The University of the Arts.

Through the lens of black American music, theatre, classical and beyond, Rob has seen all kinds of opportunities ranging from opening The Chronicles FusionFest with The R2 Quintet, to touring with tribute bands like Start Making Sense, playing Reed books for Broadway shows Some Like it Hot and Tina!, all the way to performing with jazz visionaries Ingrid Jensen, Godwin Louis, Veronica Swift and Igmar Thomas. Through such experience, he has seen venues such as NJPAC, The Kimmel Center, The Academy of Music, The Forrest Theatre, Carnegie Hall and more.
