About the event
V. Shayne Frederick & His Quintette: The Music of Billie Holiday
V. Shayne Frederick, bandleader and curator, and “one of the region's greatest jazz singers,” (Inquirer) brings his “deep baritone and burnished elocution” (WRTI) and “soulful" (Downbeat Magazine) interpretation to the iconic Billie Holiday songbook, with a hard-hitting female ensemble of coveted musicians. A once in a lifetime bouquet for Lady Day.
