UK-born, Pittsburgh-raised, Philadelphian for 30 years, Bart regularly performs in the Philadelphia area with several bands and as a freelancer. A longtime past member of Bobby Zankel's Warriors of the Wonderful Sound, Matt Davis' Aerial Photograph, Sonic Liberation Front, The Chance Trio, PhillyBloco, Fathead, and many others, Bart has performed with the Rotterdam Chamber Orchestra and performed (three times) in NYC's Festival of New Trumpet Music including two times under the legendary baton of Butch Morris. Aside from several years of weekly lessons with "The Maestro" Dennis Sandole (teacher of many jazz luminaries including John Coltrane), Bart is mostly self-taught. Bart is adjunct faculty at Bucks County Community College where he teaches trumpet. His self-released new album "So It Goes" is very much a solo affair: all music composed, performed, recorded, arranged, mixed, and produced by Bart.
