Christopher Collette is a singer and pianist based in Philadelphia.

A classical pianist by training, he stepped out from behind the keyboard and took center stage with his debut nightclub show, “This Could be the Start of Something Big: A Saloon Singer is Born” at The Laurie Beechman Theater in 2018 in New York City. Since then, this self-styled “saloon singer” has performed extensively on both coasts, with numerous club appearances in New York City and Palm Springs, California.

His repertoire includes enduring tunes from the extensive catalog of the Great American Songbook, classic standards, and the American musical theater.

He has trained and worked with award-winning Broadway and cabaret luminaries including Marilyn Maye, Faith Price, Lillias White, Lindsay Mendez, Alex Rybeck, Michael Kirk Lane, and Yasuhiko “Yaz” Fukuoka, among others, in master classes, workshops, conferences, and appearances.

His latest project is The Saloon Singer’s Song Salon Series, a monthly celebration of great songs & songwriters, presented at Rebel & Wolf in the Pennsport neighborhood in South Philly. Philadelphia pianist Michael Raab serves as musical director and collaborative pianist in this series with “Saloon Singer Chris.”

Outside of his solo work, Chris is a member of the St. Mark’s Singers and is active in the classical music community in Philadelphia. You can sometimes catch him crooning a tune or two at Tavern on Camac where he collaborates with many of the fine pianists there.
