Kennings Jazz

Kennings Jazz is a Philadelphia and South Jersey based jazz ensemble led by upright bassist Bryan Williams. The group performs straight ahead jazz rooted in the bebop and hard bop tradition, drawing from the music of Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, and John Coltrane while also incorporating modern jazz standards and select contemporary songs reimagined in a jazz style.

Performing as a flexible duo, trio, or quartet, Kennings Jazz adapts easily to cocktail lounges, restaurants, wineries, listening rooms, and private events. The group is known for its warm acoustic sound, strong swing feel, and interactive improvisation that connects with both dedicated jazz listeners and casual audiences.

Kennings Jazz has performed at venues including TIME and Cellar Dog in Philadelphia, Blue Plate in Mullica Hill, Stokelan Winery, and Redstone American Grill, and continues to build a presence throughout the Philadelphia jazz scene.
