High Note Caffe

1549 S 13th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147

Cape May Jazz Vespers Square

High Note Caffe is where great food and unforgettable music come together in the heart of South Philadelphia. Located at 1549 S 13th St, our venue has been a neighborhood gem since 1984, when the Borda family first opened its doors as the iconic Franco Luigi’s Pizza.

Founded by Franco Borda, a classically trained singer with a passion for the arts, High Note Caffe began as a cozy 55-seat dining room (now 70-seat) that brought opera, jazz, and live music to the community. Over the years, our stage has welcomed hundreds of talented local and international artists, building a legacy as one of Philadelphia’s most intimate music venues.

After a brief pause during the pandemic, High Note Caffe has returned—revitalized and reimagined—as both a 70-seat live music destination and a warm, inviting space for private events. Our menu features a thoughtfully curated selection of gourmet pizzas, fresh salads, hot and cold appetizers, and decadent desserts, paired with a carefully chosen list of beers and wines.

Whether you’re here to enjoy an evening of live music, host a private celebration, or simply share a great meal with friends, High Note Caffe delivers a one-of-a-kind experience that strikes the perfect chord.
